Rough Days
6:22 PM
Do you ever have some "I'm sick of today" kind of days? Well today was one of them for me!
Yesterday somebody smashed into my car, so when I woke up this morning I could already feel that bad mood creeping in. Thinking of all the things I needed to do today and now including going to the police station, phoning my insurers, getting quotes etc. did nothing to help my attitude.
By the time I got to the office, not much had changed in fact after being at the police station for over an hour I think I was even more frustrated with the whole situation. Then at 10am one of the ladies from my bible study came to the office for some coffee and it was just what I needed. We spoke about all that has been happening in both of our lives and how as we all fulfill our daily roles as mothers, wives, sisters, work colleagues etc. we find it difficult to take time out for ourselves by saying the dreaded "NO" word to others and spending time alone with our God and remembering that whatever our frustrations and anxieties are, all we need to do is give them up to our Father and let them go. Trust me, I know that this not as easy as it seems!
1 Peter 5:6&7
"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
So, tonight as I sit in my warm home with my family & with a cup of tea; I am thankful! Thankful for all he has blessed me with, and even though today as been one of 'those' days, I praise His name because I know that he cares for me and he makes all things work together for my good...(Romans 8:28)
Love you all
Sue
